In relationships we want to know we’re being treated fairly and what we’re told can be trusted. It’s an important component of establishing good relationships. Lasting friendships are built ‘on the level’.
In business we want to know the people we work with share our interest and that together we can find common ground. It’s especially valuable when that ground is ‘on the level’ because then we know there’s equality and effective partnering at play.
It was humbling today to receive the following from someone I have been working with for closing on 2 years. “Ross I have purchased 5 homes and have to say by far you are the most direct, and well-educated realtor I know. Never having purchased a cottage before, so there is much more to know. Regardless I can tell you have done your market research!”
On the same day, I was in Port Carling at the locks. The picture above shows the small locks – wide open and look! The water between the upper lakes and Lake Muskoka is ‘on the level’. That is a sight we rarely see. It’s likely a 75 year occurrence. It goes to show ‘on the level’, can be a rare experience.
